Live resin from Las Vegas
Live resin is cannabis extract made from plants frozen at harvest instead of dried and cured. Tsunami has made it in Las Vegas since 2017, from one indoor garden. Here is how it is made, how it compares with other extracts, and which Tsunami formats carry it.
What makes live resin “live”
Drying and curing take days to weeks, and the plant loses some of its most volatile aroma compounds along the way. Live resin skips the dry room. Plants are frozen the day they come down and extracted while still frozen, so the jar keeps more of the aroma the living plant had.
How Tsunami live resin is made
- Grown in our own indoor garden, with harvest timed for extract rather than for flower.
- Frozen at harvest and held cold until extraction.
- Extracted cold with a hydrocarbon solvent in a closed-loop system. The solvent is purged before finishing.
- Finished as badder, sugar, diamonds or diamonds HTE, or filled into carts and disposables.
- Tested by a Nevada-licensed lab for potency, contaminants and residual solvents before release.
We don’t publish our temperatures, pressures or timing. That part of the process is ours to protect.

Questions about live resin
Is live resin stronger than other concentrates?
Not by definition. “Live” describes how the plant was handled before extraction, not potency. Check the label for the tested potency of any jar.
How should I store live resin?
Keep it airtight, cool and out of light. If you refrigerate it, let the jar reach room temperature before opening so condensation doesn’t form inside.
What is the difference between live resin and live rosin?
Both start from fresh-frozen plants. Live resin uses a hydrocarbon solvent that is purged afterward; live rosin uses ice water and pressure with no solvent.
Where can I buy Tsunami live resin in Las Vegas?
Tsunami is carried at licensed dispensaries in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Pahrump and across Nevada. Fresh Drops lists each store’s latest Tsunami drops.
